Pointer runs entirely in your browser. It has no server, no accounts, and no analytics. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data — your edits never leave your device.
This data lives only in Chrome's local extension storage on your computer. It is removed when you reset your edits in Pointer or uninstall the extension. We never see it — there is nothing for us to see it with.
When you open Pointer on a tab, it reads that page's elements and styles in order to render the editor, show measurements, and compute your changes. When you click "Copy CSS" or "Copy for AI," it writes the result to your clipboard. That's the entire data path: page → your screen → your clipboard.
